California Reparations: A Call to Action for Prenatal-to-3 Families


Led by Assembly member Isaac Bryan (D-Los Angeles), this webinar discussed the California Reparations Task Force’s findings and recommendations, uplifted the absence of CA’s Black babies (PN-3) in the task force’s recommendations, illustrated why it is important for Black babies PN-3 to be included and protected through the reparations discussions and plans moving forward . We also discussed the current CA legislative and budget landscape and how they  will impact the progress and success of reparations this upcoming year (2024-25). Lastly, we discussed opportunities and ways community members and advocates can get involved in the policy process for reparations policies, including what will be needed from colleagues in the California legislature to advance suggested policy recommendations.

California Reparations: How does Prenatal to age 3 fit in?


Led by Lisa Holder and Dr Dobard, This webinar discussed the grounding in the reality of the challenges and process of actualization of the topic of reparations. (ex. deep listening, no microaggressions, etc.) This webinar also covered the history of reparations and context setting (ex. CA reparations report, things to build upon)

Queer & Transgender Immigrant Health in California: Enrolling in Medi-Cal, Accessing Services, and Filing Complaints.


On June 26 The Children’s Partnership, on behalf of ALL IN for Health, partnered with the CA-Protecting Immigrant Families Outreach & Communications work group, Plascencia Consulting, and the California LGBTQ Health and Human Services Network to host the webinar, “Queer & Transgender Immigrant Health in California: Enrolling in Medi-Cal, Accessing Services, and Filing Complaints.” In case you missed it; some of the key points that our panelists covered were, systemic challenges that queer and transgender immigrants face, the Insurance Gender Nondiscrimination Act (IGNA), how to file a complaint or grievance with your plan and secure a letter of support from your doctor , Medi-Cal expansion, the recent public charge rule, and more!
